rr88 tải holds a gathering to celebrate Roya Haji 2026 for the Cham community

(AG Provincial E-Portal) -On the morning of May 26, in Chau Phong Commune, the rr88 tải Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a gathering to celebrate Roya Haji 2026 for the Chăm community.

Attending the gathering were: Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of rr88 tải Province; Tong Phuoc Truong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders of various departments and agencies, religious dignitaries, officials, and a large number of Chăm people in the province.

In the atmosphere of solidarity and warmth of this major holiday for the Chăm people who follow Islam, delegates together reflected on the meaningful significance of Roya Haji. Roya Haji is a traditional festival of great importance in the spiritual, cultural, and religious life of the Cham people who follow Islam. It embodies the spirit of solidarity, sharing, doing good, and praying for peace and happiness in life. 

This is also an occasion to strengthen community solidarity and contribute to preserving and promoting the good cultural identity of the Chăm people in rr88 tải Province.

Speaking at the gathering, Vice Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc extended his best wishes to the Representative Board of the Islamic Community of the province, the Management Boards of mosques and small mosques, and all Chăm people for a joyful, warm, safe, and happy Roya Haji celebration. 

He emphasized that the Chăm people of rr88 tải are an important part of the great national solidarity bloc, and have always accompanied the development of rr88 tải Province.

The province currently has over 21,000 Muslim followers, who carry out religious activities at 12 mosques, 16 small mosques, and 1 centralized religious gathering point. 

In recent times, the Representative Board of the Islamic Community of the province, together with religious dignitaries, officials, and reputable individuals, have actively encouraged the community to comply well with the Party’s policies and the State’s laws; preserve national cultural identity; participate in building cultural life; and maintain security and order locally.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Phuoc acknowledged the efforts of the Chăm people in striving for economic development and poverty reduction. Many traditional crafts such as weaving sarong, kama, and embroidery continue to be maintained; social welfare activities, education encouragement, support for poor households, and the construction of Great Solidarity Houses have received active participation from the community. To date, the number of poor households among the Chăm people in the province has decreased to 102 households.

The Vice Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee affirmed that in the coming period, the province will continue to effectively implement ethnic and religious policies; invest in infrastructure, and take care of livelihoods, education, healthcare, vocational training, and job creation for the Cham people; and create favorable conditions for religious and faith-based activities to take place stably and in accordance with the law. 

At the same time, he expressed the hope that religious dignitaries, officials, and reputable individuals will continue to play the role of a bridge between the government and the people; encourage followers to live "good for life, beautiful for faith," and contribute to building rr88 tải homeland to develop further.

The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere, demonstrating the bond between Party committees, authorities, and the Chăm Muslim community. It helps to firmly consolidate the great national solidarity bloc in the province, and to continue accompanying patriotic emulation movements while preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values of the Chăm people./.
