Chairman of the People's Committee of rr88 tải province has directed the organization of a campaign for data digitization and digital identification

(AG Provincial E-Portal) -On May 28th, the Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 of rr88 tải province held a conference to review the results of tasks performed during the first five months of 2026 and to implement tasks for the remaining months of 2026.

The conference has been chaired by Mr. Ho Van Mung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of rr88 tải Province, who is also the Head of the Steering Committee. Also in attendance were Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

In his remarks at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged and commended the efforts of various sectors in organizing and implementing tasks related to the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06 during the first five months of 2026, which have achieved positive results and made practical contributions to promoting socio-economic development in the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested that heads of departments, agencies, and localities focus on directing the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06; overcome limitations; and link implementation to the periodic evaluation of officials’ duty performance.

Departments, agencies, and localities continue to complete 271 tasks as directed and assigned by the Central and Provincial Steering Committees; for ongoing and regular tasks, no task should be overdue. 55 communes currently in the "yellow" status must find solutions to overcome difficulties and complete tasks to transition to the "green" status. Continue to supplement and improve institutions and policies; units should coordinate in disseminating and publicizing policies.

Regarding digital transformation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested the Department of Internal Affairs to urgently hire consultants and conduct bidding to complete the data digitization. Accordingly, departments and agencies must complete data digitization within the stipulated time, especially land data digitization, to be completed in the third quarter.

Local authorities are requested to assign IT personnel and work with telecommunications companies to support digital human resources in the localities. The Department of Science and Technology and the Police Department is requested to advise the Provincial People's Committee on investing in digital infrastructure. Provincial departments and agencies are requested to apply digital transformation to the maximum extent in the operation of the government and localities.

Regarding the implementation of Project 06/CP, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested the Department of Science and Technology and the Provincial Public Security Department to advise the Steering Committee on organizing a campaign concerning: data; citizen identification cards, installation of level 2 electronic identification, and electronic health records. The Provincial Public Security Department will continue to advise on ensuring cybersecurity. Departments, sectors, and localities will establish specialized working groups on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06; and submit monthly reports.

According to the report, rr88 tải province has seriously and comprehensively implemented the tasks under Resolution 57-NQ/TW, achieving a high completion rate (especially phases 1 and 2, reaching 100%), with no tasks falling behind schedule. The two-tiered government system after the merger has operated completely smoothly, with data interconnected from the provincial to the commune level.

Administrative procedure reform, coupled with digital transformation, has significantly improved quality. As of May 26, 2026, rr88 tải province's index for serving citizens and businesses, according to Prime Minister's Decision No. 766, reached 95.99 points, ranking excellent and 16th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. In particular, indicators related to transparency and citizen/business satisfaction all achieved a perfect score of 100%. 

The province has reduced the processing time for 2,000 administrative procedures by 30%, resulting in an estimated compliance cost saving of approximately 4.87 billion VND for the society. The digitization of specialized records and data has reached over 80%; specifically, the digitization of civil registration and education data has achieved a 100% completion rate.

Regarding the implementation of Project 06/CP, the Provincial Public Security Department have issued nearly 3.9 million identity cards to citizens over 14 years old, over 3.3 million individual electronic identification accounts, and nearly 14,500 organizational electronic identification accounts for businesses and cooperatives in the province.

Simultaneously, in coordination with professional units under the Ministry of Public Security, five Digital Citizen Stations will be deployed, and an AI Camera system will be piloted to ensure traffic safety and order in phase 2 in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone .
