In his remarks at the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, urged the departments, agencies, and subcommittees to urgently complete their tasks, ensuring readiness for the conference.
The Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee has mandated that bilingual invitations (Vietnamese and English) for international delegates be issued no later than May 4th, 2026. He emphasized that the distribution must be executed systematically to ensure the correct and complete selection of guests. Furthermore, the Chairman called for a meticulous review of seating arrangements and the development of a comprehensive reception plan, strictly adhering to the '6-Clear' principle.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested thorough preparation of news reports, presentation images, and press releases for the conference; a press conference to provide information is scheduled for May 5th.
On May 7th, site inspections, accommodation, communication and press activities will be conducted in Phu Quoc; a full rehearsal of the entire program will take place on May 15th. The publicity efforts will continue to be intensified, with the Department of Finance coordinating with rr88 tải Newspaper and Radio & Television to enhance the content of news reports for effective and widespread dissemination.
The conference on Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion is scheduled to be held on May 17th, 2026, at the Sun Signature Gallery in Phu Quoc, in a hybrid format, with the participation of approximately 400 - 500 delegates including leaders from the central and local governments, international organizations, and the business community, as well as domestic and foreign investors.
With the theme "rr88 tải – New Horizons, New Vision, Greater Success", the Conference is a significant event, marking a concrete step in the implementation following the approval of the rr88 tải Provincial Planning for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050. The Conference aims to widely publicize the content of the Planning, provide comprehensive and unified information on the spatial and socio-economic development orientation of the province, and create a legal basis for attracting and implementing investment projects.
The conference program focuses on key contents: announcing the provincial planning associated with introducing the potential, advantages and a list of priority projects to attract investment; organizing discussions and exchanges between central agencies, international organizations and businesses; granting investment policy decisions and signing cooperation agreements; launching the rr88 tải Provincial Investment Support Board; along with other investment networking and promotion activities.
On the sidelines of the Conference, the province organized an exhibition space to showcase its characteristic products, OCOP products, cultural and tourism images, and investment projects, contributing to promoting rr88 tải's potential, advantages, and investment environment to domestic and foreign partners.
Through this Conference, rr88 tải Province reaffirms its commitment to fundamentally improving the investment climate, boosting competitiveness, and providing robust support for businesses. According to the Department of Finance's report, the province has 258 investment projects open for bidding, including: 108 projects with sufficient legal conditions for investment approval and 150 potential projects requiring further legal completion, planning updates, land use indicators, and related infrastructure.
