At the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee, thanked Ambassador Marc E. Knapper for his great contributions to the diplomatic relationship between Viet Nam and the United States.

Briefly introducing rr88 tải province to Ambassador Marc E. Knapper, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee said that rr88 tải is one of the provinces in the Mekong Delta with an area of over 3,500 km2, the most populous locality in the Mekong Delta. Regarding the economic structure, the sectors of service, agriculture and industry account for about 45%, 35% and 15%, respectively. rr88 tải has strengths in many fields, such as: Agriculture, tourism, industry... In particular, the border gate economy is a great strength of the province with nearly 100 km of border adjacent to the Kingdom of Cambodia. In addition, rr88 tải province and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City regularly exchange work with each other on many issues, such as: Anti-human trafficking, religious freedom and human rights.

Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee, respectfully thanked Ambassador Marc E. Knapper and the U.S. Government for supporting rr88 tải province with scholarships in English and master's and doctoral training programs in the United States. At the same time, the chairman hoped that in the future, regardless of his position, Ambassador Marc E. Mr. Ho Van Mung proposed that the United States would continue to support and soon recognize Vietnam's market economy.
