(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of April 28, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cu Lao Gieng Commune held a Ceremony to Announce the Decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Cu Lao Gieng commune as an island commune of rr88 tải province.

In attendance were Tran Hoang Kiem, Director of Department of Local Affairs III under the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Giang Van Phuc, Vice Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Council; and Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee.

At the ceremony, Mr. Truong Long Ho, Deputy Director of the rr88 tải Department of Home Affairs, announced Decision No. 1251/QD-rr888.com of the Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee recognizing Cu Lao Gieng Commune as an island commune of rr88 tải Province.


Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the rr88 tải Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc congratulated the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Cu Lao Gieng Commune on the honor of being recognized as an island commune. This is an event of significant importance, marking a new step in the locality's development, while also affirming the attention paid by the Party and State to areas with distinctive socio-economic, defense, and security positions.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on the Party Committee, authorities, and people of the commune to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and unity, stabilizing the organizational apparatus, and effectively implementing the island commune's development plan along sustainable lines; to fully harness the potential and advantages of agriculture in conjunction with the application of science and technology, thereby raising product value and people's incomes.
In particular, the locality should focus on developing eco-tourism and cultural-spiritual tourism in conjunction with preserving traditional values, gradually building Cu Lao Gieng into one of the province's most appealing destinations.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Cu Lao Gieng Commune presented certificates of merit to 10 collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the building and development of Cu Lao Gieng./.
